Huitong Village, a traditional Chinese village in Zhuhai, Guangdong, is under renovation to serve tourists and college students nearby. This village was founded in Qing Dynasty. With outstanding characteristics, the village attracts people's attention. However, buildings here are damaged due to the lack of management and repair. As a result, most of the traditional buildings cannot meet the requirements of the development.

In this project, I chose one of the damaged house and renovate it to be a book store. While remaining the primary structure and characters, I also add up new structure to support the whole building system and recreate the main circulation to enrich the  experience inside the building.
